Facebook always comes under fire when we talk about privacy and now the company has introduced new tools for the privacy of teens. The social networking giant is actually adding more filters to the People You May Know feature and the same will also limit friends’ list visibility as well as bringing new tools to spread the unwanted spread of intimate images as well.
It is also revealed that the message button on Instagram for teens will disappear as well. It is also said that when teens start messaging adults, the application will offer a prompt, asking them if they know the person in real life. It will also offer a Safety Notice pops up, listing options that will actually prevent further contact with that particular person.
The company has also revealed that when new teens register on Facebook will face tight options pre-selected on some privacy settings like who can see their friends list, people and pages they follow, posts they’re tagged, and who is allowed to comment on posts, and similar settings will be available on Instagram as well.
