Smartphone brands are working hard to make their devices unique and innovative, and Samsung is attempting new ideas and innovations in devices and one such device is the Galaxy A80 which is coming with rotating camera, that will offer the front and rear camera via the same sensor.
Having said that, it seems that the South Korean electronics giant Samsung is planning to boost the graphics department of its upcoming devices. Samsung has joined its hand with AMD, and that will effectively license AMD’s custom graphics IP based on the recently announced RDNA architecture, and for this Samsung will pay royalties.
The deal is a multi-year contract and this will allow Samsung to advance the graphics department in its upcoming devices with productivity and innovation. At the same time, AMD will reach into a wide audience in the mobile market and this will help the company to give a head to head competition with Qualcomm developed Adreno GPU.
As of now, we don’t have any other information about the upcoming devices which will have the AMD powered graphic chip. We are looking forward to hear more about the same in the coming days and we recommend you to stay tuned with us for the latest updates.
