Elon Musk has officially announced that the platform will be removing 1.5 billion accounts that have not been active on Twitter for years and the platform will be deleting the accounts in the near future. It is said that the company wants to improve the quality of its content and reduce the spread of misinformation on the platform.

Unfortunately, he did not reveal the criteria which consider an account for being inactive like for how many years the company to be inactive to be considered in the removal list.
