Micron has announced the world’s most powerful microSD card, It has 1.5 TB of storage. This is made possible by the brand’s new i400 microSD card with a maximum storage capacity of up to 1.5TB, which is a huge additional storage for electronic devices that support memory expansion via a microSD card slot.
While it is still unfortunate that most modern smartphones do not support this technology, there are still many other applications. Micron was able to achieve record breaking capacity using 176 layer 3D NAND technology, the same technology used on SSDs. In other words, it means that the memory cells are stacked one on top of the other in a 3D pattern.
However, this also indicates that the new memory card will initially have a premium price tag, this is common to most new record-breaking technologies. However, this means that the previous generation 1TB models will soon be more affordable.
