Nothing unveiled its first smartphone dubbed Nothing Phone 1 on July 12 globally and now the company is rolling out a new update that will enable 5G connectivity on the devices. It is worth mentioning that smartphone brands are working on the update and the supported devices will be receiving updates in the coming weeks. The 5G enabled smartphones requires a new software update to unlock the 5G connectivity to start experiencing the new generation connectivity.
Nothing has updated its operating system version Nothing OS 1.1.5 and the same brings Jio True 5G Support to its first and only Nothing Phone 1 smartphone.
The update is currently available for a small number of users but the same will be available to everyone by Diwali.
It is worth mentioning that Jio is currently testing its 5G services in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Varanasi. The telecom operator has promised to offer 5G connectivity across the country by the end of next year. Jio is offering 5G services on standalone network and there is no need to upgrade your existing SIM card to enjoy the 5G connectivity.
