From last year we are seeing major shifts in the smartphones in various factors. If we talk about most popular segment of smartphones for true techies, the Mid-range smartphones. Here you can find suitable smartphones for almost all kind of needs, with some really exceptional smartphones. And as the inflation has increased the smartphones prices, the Mid-range segment has also gone up to ₹20k segment. But the brands have added more premium features, so making it sort of most value segment of 2021.
Today we are going to list out Best 5 Mid-range Smartphones of 2021, priced between ₹20,000 to ₹30,000 (specifically between ₹25k to ₹30k). Here you will find most competition through-out the year, and that’s why this range was most difficult for us to pick & rank the smartphones. Now without further ado, let’s have a look at Best Mid-range Smartphones of 2021.
1. Mi 11X 5G:
This is probably one of the most value for money smartphone in premium segment this year, Xiaomi bought the most stable SoC of the year at a very aggressive pricing, the Snapdragon 870 SoC. This makes it probably the only smartphone under ₹30k, a value flagship. It also has a good quality AMOLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate. Other features like battery, charging, built & design, and connectivity options are like any decent smartphone under this price range.
Only drawback here is its camera, the camera here is pretty average, and even Redmi Note 10 Pro Max has better hardware. Only thing which saves this device is its camera ISP of Snapdragon 870. So we can conclude that the SoC is the biggest strength of Mi 11X 5G. For detailed information, Click Here.
2. Realme X7 Max 5G:
If we talk about the most underrated smartphone of 2021, the Realme X7 Max 5G comes first into my mind. This device packs some solid specifications like Dimensity 1200 SoC, 65W fast charging, good 120hz AMOLED display, great battery, and most importantly a 3.5mm jack (rare in this range now). This one is actually pretty good in terms of gaming, with great cooling and constant frames in heavy titles. The camera setup is a bit let down because Realme needs to work a lot in after image processing.
But the reason it went underrated is because of its non-appealing design. I can say this is the least attractive and cheap looking smartphone in this range. Yaah I know design should not be prioritized, but giving this much money should certainly give us some premium feel. This device doesn’t give that. For more information, Click Here.
3. Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G:
For me, the Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G is best all-rounder smartphone in this segment. This smartphone checks all basics with some USPs as well as some minor drawbacks, but overall deal is satisfying without any major setback. It has the best Built & Design with slim (6.8mm) & lightweight (158g) built, and premium matte glass design. Also, the 10-bit OLED Display with Dolby Vision support makes it the best-looking display in this range. It has Snapdragon 778G SoC which is sufficient for most tasks and casual to moderate gaming as well.
The camera is a minor let down, but still better than the Mi 11X 5G mentioned above. Also, a 120Hz panel instead of 90hz would make this the best display in this price range. For detailed information, Checkout my review by Clicking Here.
4. Motorola Edge 20 Fusion:
All the smartphones I mentioned till now ranges specifically between ₹25-30k, that’s because this Motorola Edge 20 Fusion is the only smartphone near ₹20k that made into this list. It’s USP are clean stock Android UI and cheapest smartphone with 10-bit AMOLED display (as Mi 11 Lite 4G is discontinued). The Dimensity 800U SoC is also a very capable chipset, and it has fairly good camera setup. But just like Realme, Motorola has to work a lot on their camera processing.
The battery life is great, charging is decently fast, and has 3.5mm jack too. Some downsides of this smartphone are non-appealing design and single speaker. For more information, Click Here.
5. OnePlus Nord 2:
And here comes the savior of OnePlus’s reputation into the tech community a bit, the OnePlus Nord 2. It was the best and only OnePlus smartphone that was in our personal recommendation list. Why I said ‘was’? First reason is the software code integration of OxygenOS to ColorOS, and second reason is some news of Nord 2 blasts. I know many of those cases were false, but some were actually true. And that makes us uncomfortable to suggest this smartphone a bit.
Otherwise, this smartphone has Dimensity 1200 SoC, the best camera in this range, still extremely smooth UI, good battery, fast 65W charging, and a great overall experience. If those issues were not there, the Nord 2 would be listed at 1st spot in this list. For more information, Click Here.
Here are some smartphones which were good but couldn’t make into this list:
- Poco F3 GT 5G (targeting to limited audience)
- Samsung Galaxy M52 5G (a bit overpriced)
- Realme GT Master Edition 5G (nothing very great)
- Motorola Edge 20 5G (competition was too much)
