Microsoft Edge is the default browser of Windows-powered computers and the company has now rolled out a new version called Microsoft Edge 98. It is also coming with new features including support for “Edge Bar” which is the flagship feature for the browser. This particular feature will not be limited to Windows 11 as the same will be available for the users of Windows 10 as well.
Microsoft “Edge Bar” is actually a floating and sticky widget and the same will make your browsing experience easier as the same enable you to go straight to your favourite websites. Microsoft will pin the latest Edge Bar on the right side of the screen by default and the feature will also look like a sidebar that can become part of your desktop.
By default, the latest Edge Bar features a personalized news feed and it would make you feel similar to the News and Interests feed of Windows 10 or Windows 11’s Widget board. Of course, Microsoft will enable you to customize the feed to include updates on various topics and that includes entertainment, sports, technology, stocks, among others.
It will also enable you to hide the stories and the same will also feature the like or dislike button. One may not surprised for knowing the search bar powered by Bing.
Apart from this, the latest Microsoft Edge 98 is also coming with a new capability of automatically switch the browser and that will switch your profile automatically to work whenever you visit corporate’s site. The latest version is also coming with a brand new security feature along with a new design for the scroll bar and it’s based on new Windows 11 scroll bars.
Microsoft has already started to roll out the new update and you will receive the same very soon on your computer.
