Android is the most favourite mobile operating system of the planet and it comes with Play Store which offers a variety of applications for various categories. The Google Play Store is also the most favourite place for the developers to publish their application and it helps them to reach into a wide range of audience.
Well, now a new study finds out that the Google Play Store is loaded with 2000 dangerous applications and few of them are very famous and favourite ones. The study took a long two-years and found that the Play Store is packed with 2,040 apps which are harmful in some way. Some require suspicious amount of permissions, while others are straight up malware, reports the University of Sydney and Data61 of CSIRO.
The researchers studied about 1 million apps on Google Play and understood that a large number of fake apps without malware but still requiring permissions to access data even without any business with. The popular games like Hill Climb Racing or Temple Run are the few ones.
We hope that the Mountain View company Google will solve all these issues and take off the dangerous the applications which affect the user’s privacy.
