From past few months in India, everyone’s demand while buying a new smartphone has changed a bit. Now they also want VoLTE or Voice Over LTE for the free calling Jio SIM. Almost all new smartphones are coming with VoLTE and many previously launched compatible smartphones are getting it via OTA update. But Google’s own flagships didn’t got the update until today, but now Google has said that they will give VoLTE support to Pixel and Pixel XL.
It sounds very strange that Google is giving VoLTE support this late as Google phones are known for faster updates. But this time even Google is very late. Recently Google India posted on there twitter handle that : ‘Now say hi over Wi-Fi. VoLTE and Wi-Fi calling, now available to Pixel on Jio. Watch out for the next Nougat update’. We all know whay VoLTE do. But what Wi-Fi calling do ? We can actually make calls via a Wi-Fi connection with Jio SIM number. It helps when there’s cellular network problem and there’s a good Wi-Fi connection.
This update will take few days to reach to everyone. You can check for the update manually by going to settings. Stay tuned with us for more information.
