Lenovo finally launched the Legion VR700 headset in China. The VR headset was first announced a few weeks ago.
The Lenovo Legion VR700 headset is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage onboard. The VR700 is equipped with a fast-response LCD screen with a resolution of 3664 x 1920 pixels with 72/90Hz refresh rate support.
The headsets have a similar Y design to the Lenovo Rescue series, although they perform better. In addition, the video bandwidth of the device has increased significantly. There is an 11x increase in AI performance speed and a 10x increase in resolution.
The 4K RealRGB display on the Legion VR700 has a quick brush response. The VR700 adopts a full 6DoF design to achieve millimeter-level positioning accuracy, millisecond-level initialization speed, and millisecond-level delay speed to accurately recognize body movements. Thanks to the device users will get a better viewing experience. It adopts iQUT 2.0 standard and supports iQIYI network resources.
In terms of design, the VR700 adopts a hat-wearing design, with front and rear weights carefully optimized. Lenovo says that there will be no obvious streaking during long-term wear. The wide and soft mask makes the viewing experience of the glasses natural and comfortable. In addition, the VR700 also supports wired and wireless streaming, and users can click and play with the built-in app.
The Lenovo Legion VR700 headset has been launched in China with a starting price of 2,999 Yuan (~$440). The price will increase to 3299 Yuan (~$484) after the initial sale.
