It is said that the smartphone series will include the Honor Magic 5, Magic 5 Pro, and Magic 5 Prestige Edition. According to the latest information, the Honor Magic 5, Magic 5 Pro, and Magic 5 Prestige Edition will feature a 6.8-inch OLED LPTO display along with a 1Hz–120Hz refresh rate, 2160Hz PWM dimming, 480Hz touch sampling rate, HDR10+, and up to 1100nits of brightness.
It is also suggested that the smartphone series will run on Magic UI 7.0-based on Android 13 OS. It will be powered by the yet to be announced Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile processor along with 8/12GB LPDDR5x RAM and upto 512GB UFS 5.0 storage. The vanilla variant will house a 5,000mAh battery with 66W charging, while the other two models of the smartphone series will be backed by a 4,800mAh battery with 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. It is also reported that the smartphone series will feature the 40W UFCS charging standard.
The upcoming Honor Magic 5 series will feature a 13-megapixel Sony IMX688 front facing camera. While the back panel of the Honor Magic 5 will offer a Sony IMX800 primary camera with a Sony IMX758 lens, and an OmniVision OV64B lens. The Magic 5 Pro will feature a Sony IMX878 primary sensor with OIS support along with an OmniVision OV64B lens and a Sony IMX516 camera. The Prestige Edition will feature a Sony IMX989 primary sensor with OIS support along with a Sony IMX758 lens, a Sony IMX516 sensor, and another OIS-enabled Sony camera. It is also suggested that the smartphone series will feature a ToF lens and a flicker sensor.
The devices will feature an under-display fingerprint scanner while the vanilla model will support 2D face unlock. On the other hand, the other models will support 3D facial recognition. It is also suggested that the smartphone series will feature 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, USB 3.1, Dolby-powered dual speakers, an X-axis linear motor, and USB 3.1.
The source also says that the Honor Magic 5 and Magic 5 Pro will be offered with a metal-glass combination body while the Prestige Edition will have a nano-ceramic build. The Pro and Prestige models will offer IP68 protection while the vanilla variant will offer an IP54.
The pricing of the Honor Magic 5 pricing starts at 4,999 Yuan, the Pro model is also expected to have a starting price of 5,999 Yuan, and the Honor Magic 5 Prestige Edition will be unveiled in a single 12 GB RAM + 512 GB storage at 7,999 Yuan.
