Twitter started to charge $8 for the blue tick verification badge and some other extra benefits like fewer advertisements and more. To differentiate the authorized account, now Twitter is adding a second grey check mark on the profile page.
It is officially announced that Twitter is now adding a verification bad which will be in grey colour and the same will be available on the profile page. It will not available to all the users who spend $8 for the blue tick verification and the grey colour check mark will make others know an account is actually verified.
The grey colour check mark will distinguish between subscribers and actual verified accounts like politicians, major media companies, publishers, and more.
It is also said that the company will experiment with more ways to differentiate account types as well.
