Xiaomi subsidiary Redmi India announces partnership with Reliance Jio to conduct 5G trials for the upcoming Note 11T 5G smartphone. The company is testing the capabilities and performance of the 5G enabled handset in the Indian market.
According to the announcement, both the brands will test the 5G standalone lab trial, The Note 11T 5G is sure to provide users with an “enhanced” 5G experience. The Redmi Note 11T 5G comes with support for 7 bands, including SA: n1 / n3 / n5 / n8 / n28 / n40 / n78 and NSA: n1 / n3 / n40 / n7.
Xiaomi India COO Murali Krishnan B added that the company is partnering with Reliance Jio for the Note 11T 5G as part of its efforts to democratize technology by making it easier for consumers to access 5G smartphones in the future.
This latest trial marks the beginning of the development of the 5G ecosystem in India, with the encouraging result highlighting the real potential of the device and bringing the high quality 5G experience closer to reality.
For those who do not know, plans for the 5G auction in India have been delayed for another six months. It comes with brands like Jio, Airtel and Vodafone Idea getting an extension to their trial.
As for the device itself, the Note 11T 5G will support a MediaTek Dimension 810 SoC, which is an octa core processor running at 2.4GHz and is based on a 6nm process. It has a 6.6-inch FHD + panel with 2400 × 1080 resolution, 90Hz upgrade rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. Notably, it is one of the first Note series devices with access to 7 bands to launch in the country on 30th November 2021.
