The demand for augmented reality is at its peak and the Mountain View company Google realises the same as it officially announced the “Live View” AR feature for Google Maps during Google I/O event earlier this year. Now the company is rolling out the feature but it is currently available in selected regions only but we can expect wide rollout of the feature in the coming days.
The newly introduced ‘Live View’ feature will enable you to see exact details about the landmark and the same can be gathered by pointing the camera.
The details including the name, rating of the place with the number of users, it will also make you understand what exactly it is, you will also get information about the distance of that particular place, and it will also let you know about the status of the place like whether it is busy or not.
The feature will be available for both: Android and iOS users and that is pretty good. Google has taken lots of its efforts to bring this particular feature.
It is worth mentioning that the feature is currently available in London, Los Angeles, New York, Paris, San Francisco, and Tokyo. The company will start rolling out the feature by next week and we believe that the availability of the feature will be expanded in other parts of the world very soon.
