Instant messaging application WhatsApp introduced disappearing messages feature last year and the same enables users to delete messages automatically after a certain time. Now it is believed that the developers of WhatsApp are gearing up to make changes to the disappearing messages in its future updates.
According to the latest information from WABetaInfo, the instant messaging application WhatsApp is making changes on its disappearing messages feature and the same is actually getting a new treatment in design. The revamped disappearing messages of WhatsApp is currently available to multiple beta testers.
It is said that the Android version 2.22.24.9 is bringing the new design of disappearing messages on WhatsApp beta. You can able to check the updated version by heading to the WhatsApp Settings > Privacy > Disappearing Messages.
The developers of WhatsApp are offering the new user interface with a massive timer image and text below it which explains what disappearing messages are. After that, the messaging application is offering two options – Default Message Timer and Apply Timer to Chats.
In Default Message Timer, the instant messaging application will enable you to set a fixed time for the messages to expire for all chats. On the other hand, the Apply Timer to Chats option is capable to expire new messages automatically when you select a chat.
