Dell is a very popular name in the computer world and the company offers a variety of products in the laptops as well as desktops category. The company usually rolls out BIOS update to enhance the performance of its devices and it is reported that the recently introduced update causing issues on specific devices. After updating to the latest version of BIOS, some Dell computers are not able to boot. Unfortunately, the company is yet to acknowledge the problem.
Users are sharing complaints on the official forum of the company and the latest BIOS update is believed the reason behind the booting issue. The problem is happening with Dell Latitude 5320 and Latitude 5520 laptops (with version 1.14.3), as well as Dell Inspiron 5680 (version 2.8.0) and Alienware Aurora R8 (version 1.0.18) desktops.
Dell is yet to acknowledge the issues while users have managed to find unofficial solutions and the same includes downgrading the BIOS. One workaround shared by a user, tried a fix disconnecting the battery and charger of their laptops and then pressing the power button for 15 seconds before booting.
