Hey guys, so nothing fancy on this review! Redmi has already launched the sequel to Note 7, but take look if u had a tight budget. Redmi Note 7s was the device that Redmi released outside India originally and the phone is pretty much decent and trust me the 48MP cam is amazing!!
The variant which is reviewing a 3/32 GB. No earphones or quick charger provided. A simple back cover is provided and it looks stylish but does it provides any safety is a concern!
DISPLAY; Redmi Note 7S Review
It sports 6.3 inch full HD+ display and has 2340 x 1080 pixels resolution along with 19:5:9 aspect ratio and the device is coming with a waterdrop like notch on the top of the display. It offers vibrant colour and the multimedia content will look amazing on the device, the smartphone also supports Widevine L1. Overall, the display of the device is amazing and sharp but I feel that the company should provide better auto brightness set up because there is some issue in the brightness under the same lighting condition.
CAMERA; Redmi Note 7S Review
48MP + 5MP dual rear camera gives some wonderful clicks, the Pro mode is very much effective and gives some real flexibility. A pic is around 8MB on average. Front cam which is 13MP can be said only as above average. Moreover, I also found it effective for low light photography as well. Cam is little buldged so need to be little careful while placing out. You guys can check out the camera samples below.
BATTERY; Redmi Note 7S Review
At first, I felt like the optimization was not good but after a couple of updates, it’s feeling normal and giving very good backup. Normal use gives almost 1.5 days. A Hollywood movie will take up around 15% charge only. While playing high-end games also does not drain the battery. Type-c port is an advantage and even though the fast charger is not provided, it charged pretty decently and takes 1.4 hours for 0-100%.
PERFORMANCE & UI; Redmi Note 7S Review
Has stayed true to the claim of effortless gaming. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 AIE 2.2 GHz 14nm octa-core Kryo processor and 3/4GB of RAM. RAM management has been good. But the processing of camera photos has been a concern, we have to wait a moment till we click the next picture in both cameras which are a little bit annoying. Having said that, the device is capable to provide decent performance and allows you to switch between multiple applications without any obstructions. Moreover, it even handles games for extended sessions.
Talking about the user interface, the MIUI 10 which is based on Android Pie. It works like the usual MI interfaces with little changes. But it looks good as the display is fantastic.
OTHER; Redmi Note 7S Review
Heating issues have been very minimum. With very heavy use only there comes some signs of screen burn. It has been stated as splash proof with a nano-coating which is an added benefit. The Note 7s also comes with a hybrid SIM-slot which was inevitable! The speaker quality of the smartphone is good. The slow-motion feature isn’t much good & you can’t make video in 4:3 frame/screen size, it only has 16:9 frame size for video. Regarding the Fingerprint and face unlock is good, but takes a second or couple when placed idle for too long. I felt that the led at the bottom of the phone is not of any use but is provided for the sake of it.
VERDICT; Redmi Note 7S Review
Overall, I’m impressed with the phone. The smartphone is a perfect pocket-friendly and with proper use, the camera can give unbelievable shots!
