Google Street View is a very useful feature and the same is available in Google Maps. The feature allows users to view 360-degree panoramic street images and this particular feature offers a good look at your favourite streets. This feature was available in India but it was banned in 2016 due to security concerns.
Now the search engine giant Google has introduced the Google Street View in India once again and the company made it possible with its new geospatial policy which was announced last year. This particular policy allows local companies to collect data and licence to foreign companies. The search engine giant Google has joined its hand with Genesys International and Tech Mahindra to bring the Google Street View feature to India.
Currently, the Google Street View feature is available in 10 cities of the country but it is promised to be expanded to 50 cities by the end of this year.

How to use Google Street View feature
If you are living in the cities which are listed above then you can check out the step by step guide to know the ways to use the Google Street View feature on your device.
- First of all, you need to update and open Google Maps on your device.
- After that, click on the Map Type button on the right side of the screen.
- In the Map details section, click on “Street View”.
- Now go back to maps and tap on any location.
That’s it! Now you will be able to access different locations by tapping on the arrow buttons.
Note: This feature is currently not showing at every location but it will bring all the locations in the coming days.
