Earlier this year, the tech giant Apple introduced a new capability – “reader” apps and the same enables users to check in and pay for a subscription over external connections and that can be done from other mediums other than the App Store. Now we got a new piece of information that is suggesting the popular streaming platform Netflix is adding the capability to its iOS app.
According to the latest information, the Netflix app now uses the new iOS API for reader apps, and that same will redirect users to an external website before completing a subscription.
It is worth mentioning that Netflix is yet to confirm the official date to offer the new feature on iPhone and iPad users.
In the new method, all subscriptions should be managed on Netflix’s platform and Apple is no longer in charge of the transaction.
