After Esteem for a couple of weeks and completing the rebranding process, Disney+ is arriving in the market of India officially this week and the company will debut via Hotstar and the same will be dubbed as Disney+ Hotstar. Having said that, the company has also increased its pricing by 9.50% as well.
Disney+ Hotstar official launch
The company has announced that the service will launch on April 3 and it is arriving during the lockdown days which means users can able to catch their favourite shows and the nostalgic shows as well, while staying at home. Moreover, Disney+ Hotstar also says that the subscribers will get unlimited downloads for the contents and it will also feature a brand new user interface that will have a new navigation section with the new channels for Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic.
Disney+ Hotstar will offer contents in English and few of them also available in the dubbed version in the languages of India such as Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and more.
That said, to unveil the same it will host a virtual red carpet which is due to the outbreak of coronavirus and there’s no doubt in that. Users can able watch The Lion King live-action remake and the same will be premiered at 6pm on April 2, followed by The Mandalorian at 8pm.
Pricing details
Disney+ Hotstar will be upgraded automatically existing subscribers and the new prices ₹399 for Disney+ Hotstar VIP and Disney+ Hotstar Premium is priced at ₹1,499 and that will be charged during the renewal of their memberships.
