Telecom operators in India have launched a full-fledged 5G network trial in the country. Reliance Jio and Airtel have already launched 5G network trials in a few metro cities in India. Meanwhile, Vodafone is the latest telecom operator to join the Idea or Vi party as it conducts 5G trials in Pune, Maharashtra and Gandhinagar in Gujarat.Vi 5G Download Speed Reached 3.7Gbps Testing
According to Vi, the MM Wave spectrum band achieved a maximum speed of 3.7Gbps and 5G speeds during tests in Pune. To remember, rival networks Airtel and Jio claimed a maximum of 5G speeds of 1Gbps in their respective tests, which means that the Vi speed in testing was 3 times higher than the market leaders.
Meanwhile, Vi 5G Download Speed 3.5GHz 5G band allowed by the government in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, recorded high download speeds of up to 1.5Gbps. The DoT (Department of Telecommunication) has set up 26 GHz MM Wave high bands and 3.5 GHz 5G bands in Pune and Gandhinagar. The telecom operator is experimenting with end-to-end cloud core captive network lab setup. This speed is said to be achieved in the state-of-the-art 5G non-standalone network architecture with NR radios.
In May this year, telecom companies including Bharti Airtel, Reliance Jio, Vodafone Idea and MTNL were allowed to conduct 5G trials in the country under government-sanctioned bands. Jio and Airtel have already conducted 5G trials in various cities. After the trial, Jio said it recorded a maximum speed of 1Gbps. Meanwhile, Airtel achieved 5G speeds at 1Gbps on trials. Airtel also claims to have conducted successful cloud gaming sessions in Manesar in the mid-band 5G spectrum.
