The new boss of Twitter has officially announced that the microblogging platform will be taking down all legacy blue checkmarks from accounts that are not subscribed to Twitter Blue.
The blue checkmark which appears next to the username and there the same showcases that the account is authentic and belongs to a notable figure in society. There was no charge for the same as well. However, Elon Musk has introduced Twitter Blue which offers some additional benefits along with the checkmark and the users need to pay a monthly payment for the same as well.
With the new decision, the account holders will lose the verified badge if not subscribed to Twitter Blue. The new boss of Twitter has shared a tweet and he says that the blue checks were given out was “corrupt and nonsensical.”
In a few months, we will remove all legacy blue checks. The way in which they were given out was corrupt and nonsensical.

Twitter has relaunched its Twitter Blue yesterday and you guys can able to sign up for the same with a price tag of $8 per month for website, and $11 per month for iPhone or iPad signups. Android users can sign up via the web.
