Redmi unveiled the Redmi Note 12 series last week in the market of China and now it is believed that the company is all set to launch the vanilla variant in India but the company will continue its rebranding game as the vanilla model of the smartphone series will be official in India under the branding of Poco.
It is worth mentioning that there are reports which suggest that the company will be launching the Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus as the Xiaomi 12i HyperCharge in India.
Coming back to the Redmi Note 12, the device was spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website with the model number 22111317PI. Having said that, the complete model number seems to be slightly different as the shortened one is the same as the Chinese variant of the Redmi Note 12.
We don’t have any information on the launching timeline but it may be official very soon as the device got the certification clearance.
Specifications of Redmi Note 12
The Redmi Note 12 is featuring a 6.67-inch Samsung AMOLED display with a punch-hole set up at the centre position of the screen. The device is featuring 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution along with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. It is also featuring a 45000001 contrast ratio, 1200 nits peak brightness level, 4096-level dimming, and DCI-P3 color gamut.
The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 mobile processor along with up to 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and 256 GB UFS 2.2 storage. The device is running on Android 12 with MIUI 13 on top.
Speaking about the camera department, the device is featuring a dual camera setup on the back panel with a 48MP primary snapper and a 2MP depth sensor. It is also featuring an 8MP front facing camera.
It is also IP53-rated and the device is also featuring a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for an additional layer of security. The device also features an IR blaster. Regarding the connectivity options, the device features a 3.5mm headphone jack, dual SIM, 5G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, GNSS, and USB Type-C. It is housing a massive 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging.
