The naming scheme of Qualcomm is a bit confusing as the popular chipset maker launched the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset as the successor of the Snapdragon 778G+ mobile processor but now the company has announced the refreshed Snapdragon 778G+ with the launch of the new Snapdragon 782G mobile processor. The newly announced Snapdragon 782G mobile processor is built on a 6nm process and it is coming with an 8-core Kryo 670 processor along with an Adreno 642L GPU. It is worth mentioning that the CPU is having the same core configuration as the Snapdragon 778G+ – one Kryo 670 Prime core (Cortex-A78), which operates up to 200MHz faster at 2.7GHz; three Kryo 670 Gold cores (also Cortex-A78), which operates up to 2.2GHz; and four Kryo 670 Silver cores (Cortex-A55), which are clocked at 1.9GHz.
It is claimed that the new chipset which will offer 5% faster clock speed. The GPU of the chipset will be 10% faster as well.
The latest Snapdragon 782G features up to 144 Hz refresh rate display and the same supports up to 200MP resolution. It is also featuring Quick Charge 4+, the same Fused AI Accelerator architecture, and the same Qualcomm Spectra ISP with triple 14-bit ISP compatibility.
It is also supporting FastConnect 6700 along with Wi-Fi 6 up to 2.9 Gbps, Bluetooth® 5.2, and Snapdragon X53 modem.
There is no information on the name of the device which will arrive with the power of the chipset.
