The Chinese electronics giant Xiaomi was all set to unveil MIUI 14 alongside the latest and greatest Xiaomi 13 series and a couple of new products during its event which was set on December 1 which means tomorrow but unfortunately, it has been now postponed.
But the company has teased some of the features of its latest custom skin dubbed MIUI 14 and it is pretty impressive as well. It is officially said that the company wants to offer ‘minimum firmware, minimum memory usage, and minimum non-uninstallable applications.’
Xiaomi has said that the upcoming MIUI 14 will consume less storage and the developers of the custom skin have reduced by 25% compared to the previous generation.
It is also revealed that the upcoming MIUI 14 will allocate memory efficiently and the same will release the non-essential self-starting processes from the boot memory. The latest version of its custom skin will also monitor and control the memory usage of system applications as well as services.
The company has also said that the MIUI 14 will enable users to uninstall more system applications. You will not able to uninstall applications like dialer, contacts, messages, settings, browser, camera, file manager, and app store, but you guys can able to uninstall other applications including clock, weather, gallery, and more.
Separately, the changelog of the upcoming custom skin of the company surfaced online and it is revealing that it will arrive with more personalization options and new widget formats. It will also enable users to copy texts from any gallery image.

The company has also improved privacy and security and it is also said that they now over 30 scenes that support end-to-end privacy with no data stored in the cloud. It is also revealed that the custom skin will have something called “Super icons” and the same will enable users to make a new look to the home screen. It is also said that the company has improved the interconnectivity among devices.
