Jio Phone 5G is believed to be official next month and it will be the affordable 5G enabled smartphone by the company. The information related to chipset and some other important specifications of the device surfaced online via a firmware leak.
According to the latest information, the upcoming Jio Phone 5G is codenamed “Ganga” and the device will feature a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD display along with a 90Hz refresh rate. It is also reported that the device will be powered by the Snapdragon 480 processor along with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage.
The upcoming Jio Phone 5G smartphone is reported to house a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging technology. The device will feature a dual rear camera setup with a 13MP main camera and a 2MP secondary lens. It is also believed to feature an 8MP front facing camera. The device will run on Android 12 out of the box. The device is also believed to support Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.1, and a Syntiant NDP115 always-on AI processor.
It is expected that the upcoming Jio Phone 5G will have a price tag of ₹8,000-12,000. We believe that the company will be launching the device in the country after the rolling out of the 5G network next month in India.
