India is now 5G ready and the smartphone brands are expected to roll out a new software update to offer support for the next generation 5G connectivity. Now it seems that the popular Chinese smartphone brand Realme has started the procedure as many users are reporting on Twitter that they received a new software update and the same offers support for Jio 5G services.
Several users took to Twitter and saying that they are receiving a new Realme UI update bringing support for the 5G network from Jio in the changelog. The update is also bringing September 2022 Android security patch along with other system and stability improvements.
That means users will now be able to use Jio 5G on the Realme smartphones. Jio will be rolling out the 5G connectivity later this month and the same will be available across the country by the end of next year.
If you are using a 5G enabled Realme smartphone then do check for the software update manually by visiting the Settings app, if you didn’t receive the new update notification.
