The Indian smartphone brand Micromax made its return to the smartphone industry in 2021 with the launching of Micromax IN 1, and the device was introduced with pretty impressive specifications and the stock Android experience as well. But now many users are complaining about the battery of the device after an update.
A Twitter user has reported that he is facing a battery draining issue with the Micromax IN 1 smartphone and he has also shared an image on his Twitter handle and we can see that the back panel is bent outward which means the battery has swelling and that made him turn off the device. He has said that the problem started after the August security patch update.
‼️MICROMAX USERS‼️
Micromax almost after a year rolled out an August patch update for IN 1. After updating, battery started draining rapidly. After a few days, I can notice that the battery has started swelling.
This is my mom’s phone, so we have stopped using it. (1/2) pic.twitter.com/Bb1zKdl3ga

Unfortunately, it is not an isolated problem as Twitter user searched for the same problem on the platform and shared screenshot of other users who are complaining about the same problem.
So, I just tried checking if it was my unit only or others too, and it looks like I am not the only one. Attaching some screenshots below.
So if you are a Micromax user, please don’t update your phone. ‼️‼️ (2/2)@Micromax__India @rahulsharma pic.twitter.com/WWCItbONkX

Sadly, the smartphone brand is yet to respond to this particular problem but we believe that Micromax will come forward and offer some relief to the users who are facing the problem.
